Building the Foundation for Autonomous Offshore Energy Systems

The FORE-PAIR project is structured into four interconnected main work packages (HAP), each contributing to a comprehensive technological solution for the maritime energy transition. From logistics and test planning to software and data integration, underwater cleaning, and robotic inspection — every component plays a crucial role in advancing automation, safety, and sustainability in offshore operations.

Our main work packages

The project is divided into four central main work packages (HAP), which are interlinked and together form the basis for a holistic technological solution:

HAP 1 – Logistics & Test Planning

Rosenxt - Test channel for maritime robotics.

Planning, organization, and execution of laboratory and field tests; development of technical specifications and testing processes for all partners.

HAP 2 – Software & Data

Data Analytics and Data Management is a key asset at Rosenxt.

Development of data structures, analysis tools, and exchange formats for all system components; integration of real-time data to support autonomous maintenance processes.

HAP 3 – Underwater Cleaning & Testbed Offshore

Rosenxt - AUV in harbor at night.

Research into Development of an autonomous underwater inspection robot with intelligent navigation, precise control technology, and adaptive sensor technology for various testing and maintenance tasks. innovative cleaning and maintenance methods for the maritime environment and development of an offshore test platform for testing the technologies under real conditions on Heligoland.

HAP 4 – Demonstrator Underwater Inspection Robot

Rosenxt - AUV exploring the ocean.

Development of an autonomous underwater inspection robot with intelligent navigation, precise control technology, and adaptive sensor technology for various testing and maintenance tasks.
