FORE-PAIR showcases future technologies for offshore energy at the Statustagung Maritime Technologien
On December 10, 2025, Dr. Peter Kampmann, Head of Maritime Robotics at Rosenxt, presented the FORE-PAIR project to an expert audience at the Maritime Technologies Conference (Statustagung Maritime Technologien) in Berlin. The event was organized by Projektträger Jülich on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie, BMWE) and is regarded as a central platform for exchange and innovation within the maritime research landscape.
More than 300 decision-makers from industry, research, associations, and politics discussed current topics, funding strategies, and future technologies along the maritime value chain.
FORE-PAIR aims to make offshore energy production more efficient, safer, and more economical through the use of autonomous robotics, intelligent inspection technologies, and integrated data systems. In doing so, the project not only makes a significant contribution to the sustainable energy transition at sea, but is also closely aligned with the objectives of the German government’s Maritime Research Strategy 2025.
During the conference, Dr. Kampmann presented the technological innovations and application perspectives of FORE-PAIR and engaged in discussions with other project leads as well as potential partners. His contribution highlighted the importance of interdisciplinary research and practice-oriented development for the future of the maritime industry and for strengthening Germany’s innovative capacity in a global competitive environment. The conference also provided space for in-depth discussions on digitalization, climate neutrality, maritime security, and new research approaches.
The Maritime Technologies Conference remains a key meeting point for making projects such as FORE-PAIR visible, sharing knowledge, and advancing cooperation. This applies both to established stakeholders and to emerging technologies within the maritime research ecosystem.
